Brief introduction

      In this episode, the cameras are embedded with the infantry battalion as they first take on the role as Peacekeepers. Arriving in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, they first make construct their new base within the United Nations’ compound. We meet medic Liu Jian as he helps the soldiers work through the soaring mid-day temperatures, and join Company Commander Wang Zhen as he and his team take on their first safety patrol of the civilian camps. The team show their riot control procedures to the UN’s other peacekeepers, and must deal with violent unrest breaking out between the civilians they are meant to protect. The unit of 13 female peacekeepers take the cameras on one of the weapon searches within the camp, whilst a group of peacekeepers come under attack as they take supplies to a temporary UN base.
